ELYTT ENERGY

ELYTT ENERGY, S.L., is a Private Limited Company established in 2003 by experienced professionals in the field of superconducting magnets working at CERN in Geneva. The company works developing and providing solutions and components in the field of energy.

Role:
  • TASK 4-1 Quench analysis, State of the art new computing methods and development plan. ELYTT is going to develop new software to implement in a more efficient hardware.
  • TASK 4-4 Heat extraction and helium free cryogenics, State of the art, new technologies and prospective for applications. ELYTT is going to research new methods, identify components and materials convenient for the task and develop calculation methods for the developments
  • TASK 5-3 Social magnet, Open MRI magnet, Mammo-magnet (conceptual design).
  • Functional specifications and feasibility study. Analyse the field specifications needed for the application and understand how it could be possible to obtain the requested geometries for those singular magnets.
Relevant Projects:

Development of a filled resin system for the TF coils of ITER, 2011-15,  ITER-funded Simon Canfer

Additional Information
Infrastructure

Babcock Noell GmbH is situated in Wuerzburg, Germany with offices and two manufacturing sites.

The sites are furnished with all equipment’s and tools for the manufacturing of resistive and superconducting magnets and vacuum and cryogenic equipment. It includes a winding line to wind HTS-tape coils. The components developed by engineers can be assembled from individual parts to finished products finally tested.

In a special facility, the production of prototypes can be performed under clean room conditions.

Another production workshop is available nearby. This is primarily used for the production of smaller components and the manufacture of superconducting cables. In this workshop, a planetary strander cabling machine is available.
